What this feature does: The Bulk Move Activities feature lets you select multiple activities scheduled for the same date and move them to a different date or team in one action. Instead of moving activities one at a time, you can select all activities from a date at once and reassign them together.

Where to find Bulk Move Activities

The Bulk Move Activities feature is available in the Timeline Planner view:

1. Navigate to Planning > Planner (or Team Planner for team-based planning)
2. The timeline displays activities scheduled for each employee or team across different dates
3. The timeline header shows dates with activity items displayed below

How to use Bulk Move Activities

Step 1: Select activities from a date

1. In the timeline, locate the date containing the activities you want to move
2. Click on the date header or click on an activity on that date
3. Use Shift+Click to select multiple activities from the same date or across multiple employees/teams (depending on your multiselect setting)
4. Selected items appear highlighted in the timeline

Step 2: Move activities to a new date

1. Once activities are selected, drag them to the desired date on the timeline
2. The timeline snaps to 15-minute intervals by default to help with scheduling precision
3. Release the mouse to drop the activities on the new date

Step 3: Confirm the changes

1. The activities are now assigned to the new date
2. If you need to undo, use the Clear Plan button to cancel your selection and start over
3. Use Dispatch or Schedule buttons (if visible) to finalize your changes

Selection options

Multiselect by employee or team

• A checkbox at the bottom left of the timeline lets you toggle between:
  • Selecting for one employee/team: Shift+Click selects only activities for that one person or team
  • Selecting for all employees/teams: Shift+Click selects activities across all visible rows

Important notes and limitations

• Only editable activities can be moved: Activities that are locked, completed, or dispatched cannot be moved
• Time snapping: Activities snap to 15-minute intervals to maintain scheduling consistency
• Draft vs. live planning: If you're working in draft mode, changes are saved to the draft; otherwise, they apply to the live schedule
• Offline support: This feature requires an active internet connection
• Permissions: You need appropriate permissions to modify activity schedules (typically Planning or Scheduling role)

Troubleshooting

Why can't I drag an activity?

Activities that are dispatched, completed, or locked are read-only and cannot be moved. Check the activity status before attempting to move it.

Why are my selected items not all moving together?

Verify that your multiselect setting matches what you want. Use the checkbox to switch between selecting for one employee/team or all employees/teams. Also confirm that all selected activities are in an editable state (not dispatched or completed).
