Changelog Shoreline 2.10.0

Shoreline 2.10.0 introduces mandatory defect attachments, defects linked to their source checklist step, the assigned asset shown as the defect object with an asset filter for linking work orders, read-only access to work orders for view-only users, a new Hierarchy ID field alongside a unified External ID label across sites, assets, subassemblies and components, and personnel skill filtering split into Skills, Skill tags and Competencies.

Defects

  • Mandatory attachment on new defects. Administrators can require at least one attachment when a defect is created. The setting is under Account settings > Defects > Settings. Read more
  • Defects created from checklists are linked to their source. Marking a checklist step NOT OK opens Add defect with the details pre-filled, and the defect records its source work order, checklist, section and step. A Source field is shown in the defect details and in the defect CSV export. The work order checklists table has a new Defects column. Read more
  • Asset shown as the defect object. When a defect has an asset assigned, the Object and Object ID columns in the Defects list show the asset and its External ID rather than the site. Read more
  • Asset filter when linking work orders. The Select work orders dialog has a Filter by asset field and an Asset column. Read more

Work orders

  • Open work orders read-only. Users with read permission for work orders, but not update permission, can now open a work order in read-only mode from the Work orders list, work package tables and the asset modal. Read more

Assets, sites, subassemblies and components

  • External ID. The entity’s own ID is now labelled External ID on sites, assets, subassemblies and components, in forms, tables, column pickers and import mapping.
  • New Hierarchy ID field. An optional free-text Hierarchy ID field is available on sites, assets, subassemblies and components. It can be imported through CSV import and is included in the site CSV export and in the activity and work order exports. Read more

Personnel and planning

  • Skills, Skill tags and Competencies. Skill filters now use three separate selections: Skills, Skill tags and Competencies. The selection previously labelled Skill tags in personnel filters is now Competencies. Saved work order filters are converted automatically. Read more
