Changelog Shoreline 2.4.0

Shoreline v2.4.0 builds on the Gantt and planning improvements from 2.3.0 with deeper utilisation insights, schedule optimisation, and a new Work Order Progress Dashboard. The release also delivers customer-driven fixes — including a critical PBA correction for non-producing assets — and operational quality-of-life upgrades across work orders, time tracking, imports, and reporting.

Try it before release

All items in this changelog will be available for testing in the preview environment ahead of the official 2.4.0 release. To get access, please reach out to support@shorelinewind.com.

Planning and Gantt

Optimise work plans directly from planning board and Gantt

What's new
Schedule optimisation can now be triggered directly from both the planning board and the Gantt chart, removing the need to switch views to run an optimisation pass on a work plan.

Where to find it
Planning Board and Gantt view.

How to try it
Open a work plan in either the planning board or Gantt view and use the optimise action to apply scheduling logic to the selected work orders.

Sort and group Gantt by work package and organisation

What's new
A new "Sort by" dropdown has been added to the Gantt chart with three options: Start date, Name, and Priority. Sorting happens instantly without reloading data, and the user's choice is remembered between sessions. Two new grouping options have also been added — by Work Package and by Organisation — alongside the existing grouping options.

Where to find it
Planning Board → Gantt view → Sort by dropdown and grouping selector.

How to try it
Open the Gantt and use the new Sort by dropdown to re-order work orders by priority or name. Then switch the grouping to Work Package or Organisation to see work orders grouped accordingly. Work orders without a package or organisation appear under a clearly labelled "No work package" or "No organisation" bucket.

Select weather source on the planning board

What's new
Planners can now choose which weather source to use for the planning board, giving teams flexibility to select the provider best suited to their site or workflow.

Where to find it
Planning Board → weather source selector.

How to try it
Open the planning board and use the weather source selector to switch between available providers. The board will reflect the selected source's data.

StormGeo weather integration

What's new
Initial integration with StormGeo as a weather provider is now available. Thisrollout adds StormGeo as a selectable weather source for planning workflows.

Where to find it
Planning Board → weather source selector, and under the weather integrations in Account settings.

How to try it
With StormGeo configured for your account, select it as the weather source on the planning board and confirm that forecasts are pulled from the StormGeo feed.

Work orders

New Work Order Progress Dashboard

What's new
A new Work Order Progress Dashboard ships in this release, giving planners a clear visual breakdown of work order status, segments, and milestone progression at the asset and sequence level. The dashboard makes it easier to track progress across large work programmes at a glance.

Where to find it
Dashboards → Work Order Progress.

How to try it
Open the Work Order Progress Dashboard from the dashboards menu and review progress by asset and sequence. Use the available filters to focus on the work orders or time period most relevant to you.

Manually editable completed hours

What's new
The Completed Hours field on work orders can now be manually edited, giving users direct control over the value instead of relying solely on the automatic calculation from completed activities. When manual entry is enabled and a value is saved, an override indicator (🔒) appears, and a reset button (↺) is available to return the field to automatic activity-driven calculation. The feature is off by default.

Where to find it
Work orders → Completed Hours field.

How to try it
Enable manual entry under Settings → Work Orders → Completed Hours → "Allow manual entry of completed hours". Open a work order, type a value into Completed Hours, and confirm the override indicator appears. Use the reset button to clear the override and return to activity-driven calculation.

Work order progress saved on the activity

What's new
A work order's completion percentage is now persisted on the activity itself. Updating progress on a new activity no longer rewrites the percentage shown on prior activities or in already-generated reports such as DPRs.

Where to find it
Work orders, activities, and DPR reports.

How to try it
Add an activity to a work order and update the completion percentage. Add a second activity at a later date with a different percentage. Open the report containing the first activity and confirm its original percentage is preserved.

Personnel and resource management

Personnel filter respects work-package rotations

What's new
The personnel filter now correctly considers rotation periods tied to the selected work package, so people are only returned when their rotation actually overlaps the work package's date range.

Where to find it
Personnel filters across personnel list, resource calendar, and planning board.

How to try it
Apply a personnel filter with a specific work package selected and confirm that the returned list only includes people whose rotation overlaps that work package's dates.

Operations and Maintenance simulations

Non-producing assets excluded from PBA calculation

What's new
Non-producing offshore structures (e.g. bird-nesting platforms or auxiliary structures modelled alongside WTGs) are no longer included in the PBA calculation denominator. Adding such structures to a wind farm model will no longer affect the PBA of the producing assets.

Where to find it
Simulation cases involving wind farms with non-producing assets.

How to try it
Run a simulation with a wind farm of producing WTGs and add a non-producing structure (no rated output, no maintenance, no visits). Confirm that the PBA matches a baseline simulation without the additional structure.

Imports

Reusable field mapping templates

What's new
Field mapping configurations for imports can now be saved as named templates and reused on future imports. From the import configuration screen, users can save the current mapping as a template, load a previously saved template, or delete a template that's no longer needed. Templates are scoped per c
