Manpower summary (manual) calculations

The summary table provides a per-department breakdown of man-hours recorded on a daily progress report.

How department rows are determined:

Each row in the table represents a department. Departments appear based on the teams assigned manpower on activities, adverse events, and manually registered manpower — not based on individual users.

  • For activities and adverse events: the system looks at the manpower-on-team entries. Each team belongs to a department, so the department rows are derived from whichever teams have manpower assigned.
  • For manually registered manpower: the department is taken directly from the department name entered by the user.


If any activity or adverse event has manpower assigned to "Unassigned" (i.e. no specific team), or has no team manpower entries at all, an "Other" row appears to capture those hours.

An "All Departments" totals row appears at the bottom whenever the report contains any activities, adverse events, or manually registered manpower.

How hours are calculated:

Completed Activities & Additional Client WorkHours are calculated as: manpower count × activity duration for each team that belongs to the department. If an activity has no team assignments, its hours fall into the "Other" row using the activity's base manhours value.

Adverse Events, Adverse Weather & EHS EventsHours are calculated as: manpower count × event duration for each team belonging to the department. If an event spans multiple days, only the portion that falls on the report date is counted. Events with no team assignments or with "Unassigned" team manpower are attributed to the "Other" row.

What is NOT included:

Planned activities are not included in the summary table. Only completed activities contribute to the man-hours totals.
