Release Notes 9 December 2025 (v1.97.0)

Enhanced Simulation Visualization

Welcome to our latest release. This update brings significant enhancements across the Shoreline Platform, with a major focus on empowering Marine Coordination teams through intelligent environmental oversight, automated safety controls, and improved operational efficiency. This release strengthens day-to-day coordination, improves operational clarity, and expands Shoreline’s capabilities as an integrated offshore operations platform. Keep scrolling to see what’s new.

▪️ Advanced Marine Coordination Enhancements

This release introduces one of our most significant upgrades for offshore control rooms, coordinators, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) teams. Marine Coordination experts now gain even more advanced environmental and operational zone capabilities, complete with automated alerts, speed monitoring, and interactive mapping tools.

MC-Release

Draw Zones & Observations Directly in the Map

Marine coordinators can now create custom environmental or operational zones directly within Shoreline’s map interface. With these enhancements, users can now:

  • Draw polygonal zones for restricted areas, safety buffers, survey boundaries, or ecological zones.
  • Add observations to the map to support incident logging, wildlife sightings, or temporary work areas.

Automated Notifications for Logistics Movements

New real-time alerts notify teams when logistics:

  • Enter a designated zone (e.g., “Wildlife Protection Zone”).
  • Approach a restricted test area boundary.
  • Move too fast within a zone, enabling enforcement of environmental speed limits.

This reduces manual tracking, mitigates compliance risk, and strengthens coordination between onshore and offshore teams and the control room.

Environmental Stewardship Built into Daily Operations

These capabilities allow operators to:

  • Proactively prevent intrusions into ecologically sensitive zones.
  • Reduce underwater noise and sediment disturbance through speed-limit enforcement.
  • Support ESG and regulatory reporting with transparent, data-backed records.

These tools lay the foundation for increasingly data-driven environmental governance across onshore and offshore wind operations.

In short: the Shoreline map becomes a live operational safety and environmental protection tool, not just a logistics and vessel tracker. To learn more in detail, click here to read our blog post.

▪️ Additional Marine Coordination Improvements

In addition, this release brings several enhancements to Logistic and Marine Coordination, including:

Improved Map Experience

  • Upgraded Google Maps library for increased performance and reliability.
  • Submodule improvements to sync data between FE & BE for zone rendering.
  • Fixes for map areas not loading and overlapping polygons not saving.

Reliability & UX Fixes

  • Enhanced browser remember-email functionality.
  • Cleanup of dependencies and several UI/UX fixes for map interactions.

▪️ Platform-Wide Enhancements

In addition to the headline features, this release delivers a broad set of improvements across the Shoreline Platform, strengthening reporting, usability, stability, API compatibility, and core workflow execution. These updates help teams work more efficiently, reduce manual processes, and gain clearer visibility into operational performance.

General Usability & Stability Improvements

You’ll also find a range of reliability and UI/UX refinements across Work Orders, notifications, onboarding flows, and asset interactions.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Introduced a ‘Remember email’ checkbox on the login page, giving users control over whether their email is stored or cleared during login.
  • Numerous Work Order fixes, including category handling, site overview consistency, and smoother asset-list interactions.
  • Notification reliability enhancements, ensuring alerts and reminders are triggered and delivered consistently.
  • Onboarding flow improvements, reducing friction for new users and teams.
  • Refinements to speed-related settings and other system parameters for more predictable behavior.

Why it matters

These changes reduce user friction, decrease error rates, and support more stable day-to-day operations across the platform.

Additional Improvements Included in This Release

Alongside the major enhancements, a set of key fixes and workflow upgrades has also been delivered:

  • Permit to Work: end dates in periods now default to 23:59, reducing manual edits.
  • Consolidated DPRs: faster downloads for consolidated DPR equipment aggregates.
  • Work Package Editing: improved workflow cancellation so users can exit without interruption.
  • Rotation Settings: repeat Rotation now clears its state correctly when turned off.
