StormGeo weather forecast integration
The StormGeo weather forecast integration allows your organization to connect StormGeo weather data to the Shoreline platform. This gives planners, coordinators, and operational teams access to forecast information directly inside Shoreline to support offshore operations, maintenance planning, and weather-dependent work.
Once configured, the integration can provide weather forecast data such as:
-
Wind speed and gusts
-
Wave height and wave period
-
Swell conditions
-
Air temperature
-
Visibility
-
Air pressure
-
Humidity
-
Sea spray icing data
The integration supports linking forecasts to one or more sites in your account.

Permissions
To manage weather integrations, users must have permission to:
-
Create company settings
-
Update company settings
-
Delete company settings
Users without the required permissions may be able to view weather data but not manage configurations.
Limitations
-
All StormGeo fields are required when creating a configuration.
-
Forecast availability depends on the data delivered by StormGeo.
-
Some forecast parameters may not be available for all locations.
-
Weather data is linked only to the selected sites.
-
If a location ID or StormGeo credentials are incorrect, forecast data may not appear.
-
Historical weather availability depends on your organization’s configured data retention and StormGeo delivery.
-
Multiple forecast entries can exist in a StormGeo feed, but Shoreline only uses data matching the configured Location ID.
Troubleshooting
I cannot see the Weather integration menu
You may not have permission to manage integrations. Contact your Shoreline administrator.
The Save button is disabled
Make sure all required fields are completed:
-
Label
-
Supplier
-
Location ID
-
Code
-
Contact Nr
-
Job ID
At least one site should also be selected if your organization requires site mapping.
No forecast data appears after setup
Check that:
-
The correct StormGeo Location ID was entered
-
The Code, Contact Nr, and Job ID are correct
-
The configuration is assigned to the correct site
-
Your StormGeo subscription is active
-
The configuration was saved successfully
If the issue continues, contact Shoreline support.
The wrong site is showing forecast data
Verify that the correct sites are assigned to the configuration.
Forecast values look incomplete
Some weather parameters depend on the data available from StormGeo for that specific location. Not all locations provide the same forecast variables.
Changes are not updating immediately
Forecast updates may take some time to refresh after configuration changes are saved.
