Use the new Daily Progress Report editor
The Daily Progress Report (DPR) editor has been rebuilt on a new frontend for better performance. It works the same way as the existing editor and opens in a full-screen window. For now, the new editor is available alongside the existing one.
Open a report in the new editor
- Go to Reporting and open the reports list.
- To create a report, select Add new.
- To open an existing report in the new editor, select Open (new DPR) on its row. Shared reports do not have this action.
- The report opens full screen. While it is a draft, you can edit its details.
Note: The existing add button and the existing row actions still open the previous editor. PDF, XLSX and CSV downloads are unchanged.
Filter the report
Select Filters to narrow the report by Departments, Transports and Teams.
Edit a row
- In any section, select Edit row on the row you want to change.
- Make your changes. Drop-down fields can be cleared with the clear icon.
- Select Save row to keep the changes, or Cancel edit to discard them.
When you save a row, Shoreline checks it first:
- Activity rows need a category and an end time that is after the start time. If one is missing you see Select an activity category before saving the row. or Set an end time after the start time before saving the row.
- Event rows need a reason. If it is missing you see Select a reason before saving the event row.
A row that fails the check keeps your unsaved changes so you can correct it.
Save the report
- Select Save to save and stay in the report.
- Select Save & Close to save and leave the report.
- Select Close to leave without saving.
Things to know
- Activities that cross midnight end at midnight on each day's report, so each day's report shows only that day's time.
- Remarks are multi-line boxes that grow as you type. Long text and line breaks appear in the report as you typed them.
- Work package is required on a report when your company settings require it.
- Summary sections can be shown or hidden with the summary controls.
Report sections
The report includes these sections: Report setup, Additional client work, Consumption, Completed activity, Planned activity, Adverse events, Adverse events summary, Remarks, Non-conformance reporting, Engineering/Technical issues, Files, Components complete, Received main components, Tools and materials inventory, Manpower, Total man-hours summary, Weather downtime per transport, Activity summary, Site overview, Work order progress and Time spent per technician.
