Using the Activity List and Filters

Overview

The Activity List gives you a centralised view of all activities across your organisation. You can use it to track the status of planned, dispatched, and completed activities, and quickly narrow down results using a set of powerful filters. Your filter selections are automatically remembered between sessions, so you can pick up where you left off.

Where to Find It

Navigate to Activities in the main menu under Work Orders. The Activity List loads automatically, showing all activities you have access to based on your permissions.

The Activity List

The list displays all activities in a paginated table. Each row shows key information about an activity, including:

  • Activity name (category)

  • Location (asset)

  • Start date and End date

  • Assigned users and teams

  • Linked work orders

  • Department

  • Status

You can click any row to open the activity details.

Sorting

Click any column header to sort the list by that field. Click again to reverse the sort order. The list supports sorting by start date, end date, site, activity name, and more.

Customising Columns

You can show or hide columns to match your workflow using the column customisation option in the list toolbar.

Searching

A search bar is always visible at the top of the Activity List. Type any keyword to instantly filter results by activity name, location, or other text fields — no need to open the full filter panel.

Using the Filter Panel

Click the Filter button (funnel icon) in the top-left area of the Activity List to expand the filter panel. The button shows a badge with the number of currently active filters, for example Filter (3), so you always know when a filter is in effect.

Available Filters

Filter Description
Site Narrow the list to one or more sites. Supports multi-select.
Asset Filter by one or more assets within the selected site(s). This field is only available after at least one site has been selected.
Activity Name Filter by one or more activity categories (e.g. inspection, maintenance).
Status Filter by activity status. Options: Open, Dispatched, Completed.
Transport Filter by the vessel(s) or transport assigned to activities.
Date From Show only activities whose start date is on or after this date.
Date To Show only activities whose end date is on or before this date.
Department Filter by one or more departments.
Work Package Filter by one or more work packages linked to activities.

Note: The Asset filter is disabled until you select at least one Site. This ensures the asset list is scoped correctly.

Applying Filters

After setting your desired filter values, click Apply Filter. The list updates immediately to show only the matching activities.

Your filter selections are automatically saved to your browser's local storage. The next time you open the Activity List, your last-used filter will be restored automatically.

Resetting Filters

Click Reset to clear all active filters and return the list to its default state showing all activities.

Saving and Loading Filters

If you frequently use the same combination of filters, you can save them for quick reuse.

Saving a Filter

  1. Set up the filters you want to save.

  2. Click Save Filter.

  3. Enter a name for the filter (maximum 150 characters) and confirm.

The filter is saved to your account and will be available across sessions.

Loading a Saved Filter

  1. Click the Load button (dropdown arrow next to the Save Filter button).

  2. A list of your saved filters appears. Click a filter name to apply it instantly.

Deleting a Saved Filter

  1. Open the Load dropdown.

  2. Click the × icon next to the filter you want to delete.

Saved filters are stored per user account, not per browser, so they follow you across devices.

Important Limitations and Prerequisites

  • Permissions required: You can only see activities and filter options for sites and assets that your user account has access to. Contact your administrator if you believe you are missing access.

  • Asset filter depends on Site selection: You must select at least one site before the Asset filter becomes available.

  • Date filters work on activity start and end dates: The Date From filter matches activities whose start date is on or after the selected date. The Date To filter matches activities whose end date is on or before the selected date.

  • Filter state is browser-specific: The automatic filter restore feature uses your browser's local storage. If you clear browser data or use a different browser, your last-used filter will not be restored. Use Save Filter to preserve filters reliably.

  • Saved filters are per user: Saved filters are tied to your individual user account and are not shared with other team members.
