Changelog Shoreline 2.11.0

Shoreline 2.11.0 introduces a faster, full-screen Daily Progress Report editor, in-table filtering for work orders and defects, customizable defect table columns and sorting, defect status filtering, PDF exports of defects with attachments, work order status visibility when linking, protection against overwriting concurrent changes, automatically generated Position IDs and predefined Hierarchy ID lists, and automatic preloading of work orders and related data for offline access.

Reporting

New Daily Progress Report editor. The Daily Progress Report editor has been rebuilt on a new frontend for better performance. It works the same way as before and opens in a full-screen window. For now it sits alongside the existing editor: use Add new to create a report, or Open (new DPR) on an existing report. Rows are checked before they are saved, activities that cross midnight end at midnight on each day's report, and remarks keep their line breaks. PDF, XLSX and CSV downloads are unchanged. Read more

Work orders and defects

Filter directly in the table. On desktop, Work Orders and All Defects now show a filter row under the column headers. Type a value, choose from a list or pick dates to narrow the list, for any column that supports it. Read more

Export defects as PDF with attachments. Select defects in All Defects and choose Export PDF to get one PDF per defect, with its details and attachments, packaged in a ZIP file. Read more

Customise columns and sort in All Defects. Choose which columns are shown and in what order with Customise table, and sort by any column, including the new Defect ID column. Your choice is saved to your user. Read more

Filter All Defects by status. A new Defect status filter shows only defects with the statuses you select. Read more

Work order status when linking. The Select work orders dialog now shows the Status of each work order, so you can pick the right one. Read more

Protection against overwriting each other's changes. If someone else has changed a checklist, defect or work order while you were editing it, Shoreline now tells you who changed it and when, and asks whether to Overwrite their changes before saving. Read more

Assets, sites, subassemblies and components

Position ID. Sites, assets, subassemblies and components now have a read-only Position ID, built automatically from the parent's Position ID and the item's own Hierarchy ID. For example, a site A gives its asset the Position ID A.01 and that asset's subassembly A.01.B. Changing a Hierarchy ID recalculates the Position IDs below it, and administrators can recompute every Position ID with Rebuild Position IDs in the Maintenance section of company settings. Read more

Hierarchy ID lists for subassemblies and components. The Hierarchy ID of a subassembly or component is now chosen from a list instead of typed in. Administrators maintain the values in Subassembly Hierarchy IDs and Component Hierarchy IDs under Settings. Read more

Offline mode

Work orders available offline in advance. Each time you log in or open the app while online, the work orders linked to your activities from the last 7 and next 7 days are loaded in the background, together with their checklists, defects (including files) and permits, so you can open them offline without having viewed them first. Data you have not opened or refreshed for 24 hours is removed from your device. Read more
